Nautical Museum

This museum is located by the harbour in Castletown. It was opened in 1951 and is largely dedicated to the maritime history of the Isle of Man. Very prominent in the museum is the 1789 yacht Peggy, which belonged to the mysterious Quayle family. Peggy was involved in much trading and smuggling during its time. Exhibits and a tour are featured. Open April until October.
